After months of hard work, the last week of October saw the end of the service of the common pot of the El Bosque 2 Neighbourhood Council, which had been assisting its neighbours with regular lunches for 4 months.
On October 31st, the Junta de Vecinos Las Araucarias also ended its service of solidarity lunches with its neighbours. On the occasion the group of neighbours involved in this common pot closed its activities with a rich menu and the delivery of sweets for local children.
This group of neighbours allowed the existence of the common pot for 7 months thus favoring an important sector of the most vulnerable neighbours of El Barrero.
The common pot contributed regularly with unemployed people, people with illnesses, elderly people, large families that were affected by the Covid, many of whom had to mourn the death of one of their members.
We are deeply grateful for each of the donations received by Fondacio, whose destination was these common pots. The contribution of so many people made it possible for our community to get a little closer to our neighbours in El Barrero, to get to know them better and to accompany them more actively in their difficulties resulting from the pandemic.
